Sono is a glazed bioethanol fireplace designed for installation in wall structures. Three fire-view options – three-sided, left corner, and right corner – make it easy to integrate the fireplace into modern residential interiors, apartments, lounge areas, and commercial spaces. Powered by BEV® technology, it ensures clean combustion of ethanol vapors with no smoke, ash, or other by-products. Sono requires connection to a concentric flue system (not included), which supplies combustion air from outside and removes part of the heat, helping maintain comfortable indoor temperatures. The fireplace is fully automatic and can be operated remotely, including Smart Home systems.

FIRE VISIBLE FROM EVRY ANGLE, WITHOUT UNNECESSARY STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS

The entire structure of the Sono fireplace is encased in tempered glass, which organizes the flame and ensures its stability even in open spaces. The glass casing also serves a protective function – it separates the fire from the user, which can be important in locations exposed to children, guests, or customers. Thanks to the full glazing, the fireplace maintains a neutral form and easily adapts to modern finishing materials.
A Flame with Natural Depth – Inspired by a Classic Fireplace
The Sono fireplace features a specially designed BEV® burner with a realistic arrangement of ceramic logs. These are arranged in layers and at various angles, creating the effect of a fire burning deeper, not just in a straight line. The flame has an irregular structure, variable height, and a natural rhythm – making it closer to the hearth than typical linear fireplaces. This design enhances the visual impact of the space, especially in designs where the fire serves as a focal point.
CLEAN COMBUSTION AND INTERIOR TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Sono runs on BEV® technology – the flame is created by burning only ethanol vapors, not a liquid fuel. It generates no smoke, soot, or other toxic by-products. The process is fully automated and electronically controlled, with adjustable flame height and an integrated safety system. Unlike most Planika fireplaces with BEV® technology, Sono requires connection to a concentric flue system*, which allows you to:
-supply combustion air from outside the building,
-vent part of the heat to the outside,
-minimize the fireplace’s impact on indoor temperature.
This feature is especially important in projects where stable indoor climate is essential – such as energy-efficient homes, air-conditioned apartments, or smaller rooms with controlled thermal conditions.
*The concentric flue system is not included and must be provided during installation.
